How do I work with a sponsor to sell this space?
Selling space on the lanyard as a revenue stream for your association or meeting is a great idea. But be aware savvy sponsors are looking for more than just the standard “name exposure” sales pitch. Most of our planners have better success selling a sponsorship package that includes the lanyard and other exposure items like event hall signage. Lanyard exposure is also a perfect add-on/take-home supplement for an interactive item like a panel discussion sponsorship or a refreshment lounge.
How many times can I print my logo? A sponsor's logo?

What is the difference between a lanyard and a necklace?
The difference is in the exposure they can generate for your company or sponsor. A lanyard uses a wider, flat-woven ribbon that can be printed. Necklaces use round cords and can’t be imprinted.
If you have a willing sponsor and a few days lead time a lanyard makes a useful take home item attendees appreciate each time they grab their keys or pull on the whistle for their kid’s soccer practice. And it’s a great way to keep the sponsor's name front and center long after the meeting.
When lead times and budget are short an in-stock necklace gives your attendees the same pin-free convenience at an outstanding price.
Cotton, nylon, polyester? What's the difference?
Each has its place. For the highest quality printing we recommend polyester as you can use sublimated printing for the ultimate in bright color and intricate detail. For durability nylon lanyards can’t be beat. And for soft comfort and less environmental impact cotton sets the standard. Consider the needs of your guests and sponsor and then decide which fabric suits.
Printed, sublimated and dye-match. What do all these terms mean?
Hot Stamp Printing: This basic printing method works on any fabric. The print quality is good and the price fits nearly any budget. Because the printing is actually rolled on as the fabric comes off the spool it’s very fast and an outstanding short-lead-time solution.
Screen Printing: This more precise printing method uses a screen image to control the amount of dye transferred to the top of the fabric for good looks and good durability at a reasonable price. If you have a T-shirt with graphics, you’ve seen what screen printing can do.
Sublimation: The most refined and detailed printing heat transfers the dye stuff (think “ink”) to the polyester fibers. The dye melts and surrounds the individual yarns for premium color that never cracks or fades. The result is a lanyard that really catches your attendees’ attention.
I'm crunched for time. Can I order a blank lanyard and get same-day shipping?
Short answer, no. But there’s a good reason why (and even a solution). Because the logos are printed on lanyards as the ribbon comes off the roll, all our lanyards have to be made as they are ordered. If you need a product fast we have a full selection of In-stock Necklaces that ship same-day.
Which lanyard is best for my tight budget?
We developed our exclusive pc/nametag® Lanyard just for this purpose. The soft polyester is comfortable

How do I decide between so many fastener options?
First step: Narrow down the selection to the fasteners that will work with the holder you have chosen using our Lanyard/Holder Compatibility Chart. (COMING SOON!)
Next: Let budget and durability guide you. Metal fasteners work well and fit my budget, but ABS hardware has a higher perceived value with guests.
Finally: Lanyards get more re-use after the event (and more exposure for your sponsor) when you order them with a functional key-ring or clip option. Hint: A quick-release keyring is the unquestioned attendee favorite.
What's the difference between standard and deluxe hardware?
While both metal and ABS hardware are functional, the ABS hardware is lighter, more user-friendly and has a higher perceived value with guests. If you’ve got the budget, selecting ABS hardware guarantees more reuse (and hence more sponsor exposure) after the meeting is over.
Can I order based on my logo?
Sure thing. Just e-mail the logo to sales@pcnametag.com and we’ll be happy to make a recommendation to you based on the logo, your budget and your needs.
What's the difference between an O-Ring and Key Ring attachment?
O-rings are bulldog clip compatible. Key rings give you the bulldog clip compatibility AND the ability to slip on keys latter. While guests can always slip a key ring onto their O-ring lanyards, if you want long-term reuse (and the long-term sponsorship exposure that goes with it), spend a few pennies more and upgrade to the key ring function.
