Lead Dye Sublimation Operator - 2nd Shift

pc/nametag® is looking for a 2nd Shift Lead Dye Sublimation Operator. In this role you will be leading the 2nd shift team and be responsible for printing, sublimating, and assembling all custom lanyards and wristbands for both stock and customized products. We offer short production times in a fast-paced environment and never lose sight of producing excellent quality products to meet our high-quality standards. Your Day as a Lead Operator:

  • Oversee and monitor all facets of production on 2nd shift to ensure all processes are running efficiently and safely.
  • Collaborate with 1st shift leads to help guide 2nd shift operators with appropriate assignments to achieve workload demands.
  • Address production issues or challenges that arise during 2nd shift.
  • Operate a dye sublimation heat press safely and efficiently to produce high quality, error-free product.
  • Operate print equipment ensuring high quality, error-free print.
  • Set up print files in accordance with art provided files and proofs.
  • Become fluent in all methods of lanyard assembly including the use of snap together, sewn, and crimped attachments ensuring highest quality and detail in finished product.
  • Provide quality product within allotted time to meet internal and external customer demand
  • Quality check all products prior to final packaging and placing into inventory
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by standardizing workflow and implanting methodology to maximize throughput
  • Perform general and preventative maintenance on machines

 

Your Qualifications:

  • Experience in a production environment operating different types of machines; printing, dye sublimation, assembly, other finishing equipment a plus
  • Mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, perform setup, and consistently run machines at rated speeds or better
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues that arise in an ever changing manufacturing environment
  • Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage tasks in a high-pressure environment to ensure smooth operations
  • Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to work within a team and lead others
  • Comfortable working on computers and different software systems
  • Occasionally required to lift up to 40 pounds, and frequently lift up to 25 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision with the ability to adjust focus.
